Maisie (6 month old kitten)

Please say hello to the amazing Maisie who was living outside on her own at just six months of age. What makes her a true survivor is that Maisie has a condition called micropthalmia, meaning her eyes didn’t form in the womb and she is totally blind.

It is truly amazing (hence the name Maisie) how well Maisie has coped with her situation and how well she gets about. She has been in foster for two weeks and has only walked into something once. She has never missed her litter tray - she is just a little superstar.

Maisie is a very vocal little girl. She uses her meows like sonar - so you will respond and she will then know exactly where you are. She loves company and will walk just a step or so in front of you to stay near you (even on the stairs!), turning back constantly for reassurance. She likes cuddle on her terms (a hand extended first so she can smell you) but understandably doesn't like being picked up.

Maisie will need a calm, uncluttered home where things stay in the same place. She also needs to be an indoor cat although she could obviously enjoy a catio.

We believe Maisie could settle with another friendly, calm cat given careful introductions and patience.

If you are interested in adopting Maisie, please get in touch via our contact page giving us as much information as you can about yourself including where you live, and whether you have any young children or other pets.
